Private Tendering Frequently asked questions

What is this tendering service?
Our tendering service allows you, the User, to post offers to buy, to sell, to do something; all for your personal satisfaction. The item that you are interested in can be anything. It can be a product, a service, a project, or even a contract!

How can the tendering service benefit me?
Typically, when you need to buy an item, you would have already done your research on the item and are very clear about its specifications. Then you would go around the shops or make telephone calls to compare prices. This is an arduous process which takes up much time and energy.

Now, we seek to reverse that process. Instead of doing all the hard work, why not let the suppliers come to you? Post your needs as a tender to buy and let the merchants respond by making you an offer. As for you the seller, the business opportunities are simply tremendous, you will have access to the private sector IT needs which will outgrow the government needs soon.

Pricewatchers will perceive 2% of any successful tendering (which does not mean that we will accept the highest bidder's offer)

Is this tendering service restricted to buying only?
No. Our tendering service also extends to selling. In that case, when you choose to sell something, you are making a tender to sell.

Is it also restricted to products alone?
No. The tendering engine caters to any products, services, projects or even contracts.

How do I make use of the tendering service?
Simply mail us or fax us (395-2079) your tender document - or any official, as much details as possible, when you need a final answer, your maximum budget and any other pertaining information that might help us. We'll get back to you whenever needed.

What should I do if I receive a 'Tender Question' in my email?
When you receive a 'Tender Question', that means someone is interested in your tender posting but needs more information. What you can do is provide more information in your tender posting.

I have received a few offers from merchants. What should I do?
It is up to you to decide whether to accept the offers made to you. If you choose to accept an offer, the negotiation will be entirely between you and the merchant concerned. We do not play any part in the negotiation as our main purpose is to link buyers and sellers using the tendering system.

How can I communicate with the merchant if his offer information is not clear?
As intermediates, we will make sure that this doesn't happen and if we need to get back to you we'll do it. We also make sure that ther is no contact between the tenderer and the merchant so that no other transaction can be done. If you need to clarify certain details of an offer, mail us. After you are done with the typing of your questions, click 'Send', and we will forward your message to the merchant concerned. While we provide the communication link between you and the merchant, we do not guarantee that the merchant will reply to your questions.
